Jay joined FSA in 2007 after 12 years of experience in the financial industry that ranged from
banking to personal sales to brokerage. He also spent several years in funds trading & variable transactions which required an NASD Series 6 license. During that time, he learned the intricacies of
tax implications, surrender charges and rollover guidelines as well as an understanding of compliance & suitability requirements.
Jay has over 5 years of experience in brokerage with a wide range of products, but by coming on board at FSA, he now works exclusively with what he most enjoys: Fixed Annuities. From the
beginning of his tenure at FSA, his genuine interest in annuities was apparent by the vast product knowledge that he brought with him and by the initiative that he took to personally attain and learn specifications for
every product offered by FSA's core annuity carriers. Agents turn to Jay for all things annuity related, whether they
need complicated case design, specific positioning of their client's funds, or if they are simply looking for the best fixed rate around; they have come to rely on his expertise.
Jay has a Bachelor's of Science degree from State University of NY in Business Economics. He holds a NC Life & Health
license as well as a NC LTC/Med Sup license. He is currently attaining LOMA's Associate in Annuity Product & Administration designation and his Certified Financial Planner designation.
Born in Albany, NY, Jay moved his family to Raleigh, NC in 2003 where they reside today.
